Fact – most people really do not enjoy making their bed every dingle morning. Its similar to a child brushing their teeth every day. As we grow older we continue to brush our teeth every day, as we know it will be positive in the long run. Similarly, making your bed every morning can also pay off in the long run.
As a matter of fact, there are several people who make their bed in the morning that we should follow. One person is Admiral William H. McRaven. He once stated that “If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed” and that”If you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another.”
Another person, Author Gretchen Rubin, dedicated a year of her life to making herself a happier person, and published the book “The Happiness Project”. As you can imagine, Rubin started every single day by making her bed in the morning, and stated that “Making your bed is a good place to start, and tackling one easy daily step is a good way to energize yourself for tougher situations.” She mentioned that “Everything looks neater. It’s easier to find your shoes. Your bedroom is a more peaceful environment.”
By making your bed in the morning, many people believe you will be more productive each and every day, and by doing so, you will become more productive over a longer period of time.
At Schrader Mattress, we believe it is important to make your bed everyday, as it does increase productivity, and there is nothing like crawling into a nicely made bed.
