Peanut Island
Peanut Island has been a popular boating destination for locals and vacationers alike. It offers everything from a sandbar, boat parties, beach, camping, food, and even a bomb shelter created by the American president JFK. Everyone from kids to adults will be sure to enjoy Peanut Island, no matter what time of year.
The Breakers
Just off the back of the Breakers Hotel into the Atlantic Ocean is an excellent reef that can be used for snorkeling and scuba diving. Here, boaters can anchor to buoys and enjoy all the wonderful views and wildlife.
Blowing Rocks
Boating just off the Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island can be quite the site to see. It offers magnificent views during high tide, where the water splashes off the rocks straight into the air. The area also offers wonderful snorkeling and is an excellent place to relax.
Lake Boca
Lake Boca is a popular boating destination in the Southern Palm Beaches. It offers boaters an area to tie to each other, and enjoy drinks and food. It is located along the intercostal waterway, so boaters do not need to worry about large waves from the Atlantic Ocean crashing their party.
Little & Big Munyon Islands
These Islands are located in northern Palm Beach, and offer an area for people to get away from all the traffic and relax. They are a little more secluded, but offer space to park your boat on the beach, cookout, and even camp if you so choose.
Jupiter Sandbar
Jupiter Sandbar is another great location to hang out and enjoy food and drinks with friends. It is located just inside the Jupiter Inlet, and is shaded from the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Inlets
There are four inlets throughout Palm Beach County including; Boca Inlet, Boyton Inlet, Palm Beach Inlet, and Jupiter Inlet. While anchoring your boat in these inlets may not be the best idea, areas around the inlet are excellent for fishing, snorkeling, and other water activities. We do advise that you do not anchor in the actual inlet to avoid boating traffic.
