Lake Okeechobee

Offering 752 acres of water, and visible from outer space, Lake Okeechobee is a popular attraction for those trying to angle a large-mouth bass, giant catfish, and for some, alligators. In fact, the lake is well-known for producing some of the largest large-mouth bass in the entire nation.

St. Johns River

Flowing 310 miles into the ocean in Jacksonville, Florida. This is the largest river in Florida and is one of the most unique rivers in the world, as it flows from south to north. This river provides some of the most historic and scenic visuals in the country.

Lake Dora

Recognized at “Old Florida” by many, Lake Dora is full of huge cypress trees and the Dora Canal. Many view it as the most beautiful mile of water in the world, as it provides wonderful scenic views.

Cypress Lake

This lake is at the headwaters of the Florida Everglades, and is one of the most sought after places to take air-boat rides. It provides outstanding fishing and views of wildlife, including alligators.

Lake Placid

Yes, there is a Lake Placid in Florida, and it is breathtaking. With the nickname “Florida’s Desert, its state park is filled with endangered scrub.

Lake Clarke

Located in the West Palm Beach area, Lake Clarke offers everything from water-sports, fishing and boating to sightseeing and wildlife. It is a smaller lake, but is well known for its water-sports.

Lake Hatchineha

With 6500 acres of fishing, swimming and water sports, this lake offers boat ramps and camping, and is located on the Kissimmee River. It is also a very popular spot for bass fishing.

Lake Kissimmee

At the heart of Central Florida, Lake Kissimmee is a popular place for water skiing and wake-boarding, fishing, and cruising. Running into the Kissimmee River, it is an excellent spot for boating.
